I'll take the low road ....

Well it's been a busy month for the bookworm! Having only traded on eBay before we decided to take the Creaking Shelves up a notch .. or three ... or ten ... So, we've established ourselves on Amazon, Abe, eBid, List Books ... er ... and anywhere else we could think of! Abe proved the trickiest - but only because I was trying to prise some magic information from my reluctant bank so Abe would actually be able to pay me! Negotiations were also made with certain wholesalers to set up accounts .. not the easiest thing in the world when you have no trade references but we've managed it ... the shiny world of brand-spanking new books is now at my finger tips ... imagine my pleasure as I flick through the glossy catalogues .. 'ooh, I've been wanting a copy of that!' .. 'that sounds interesting!' ... 'I'm supposed to be making money? Damn!'

Oh yes .. and we've moved ... we have fled from surburbia (well, Durham) to the wilds of Bonnie Scotland! I have anyway, hubby still has to work down there for now ... tee hee! Moving heavy bookcases and trillions of boxes of books was not the most fun I've ever had in a weekend but it was worth it! Home is now lovely Wigtown, Scotland's National Book Town. We came here for a weeks holiday just over a month ago and loved it so much we decided to move here! We have great room to work out of .. pics soon when it looks more presentable ... with a view across the town's bowling green. It's so peaceful here .. total bliss! The only slight drawback being a lack of heat (solid fuel central heating) and broadband .. but a portable radiator from Argos (oil-free, how 'eco' am I?) has sorted out the first problem and AOL are working on the latter!

I'd better go and do some work I suppose! More soon!
